Are you a realtor?

No.   We are private owners who love to have guests at our Pocono get-aways.   We do our best to provide the cleanest, most comfortable homes and cottages for your stay in the Poconos.

What part of the lake is the property at?

Lake Walk House is at the northern end of Lake Wallenpaupack between the dike and the dam.   We are 2 miles outside the small town of Hawley.

Are you right on the Lake?

No.   It is a 5-7 minute walk down our lane and across the road.   Many guests prefer this for 2 reasons: 1) Cost.   Lakefront homes of comparable size usually cost hundreds more per week in the summer season. 2) Privacy.   It's rare to find a lakefront home with much property, it being at a premium, the homes are quite close together.   Lake Walk has 2 acres of lawn and woods surrounding the house and a back yard that abuts the State Forest Lands.

Can we rent a boat on the lake?

Yes.   There are 3 places that are close.   See boating.

Is there a beach to swim at?

Yes - 2.   See swimming.

Does the house come with a boat slip?

Yes. Available from the 1st week in May thru the first week in October.  

How far is the boat slip?

It is a 6-9 minute walk.   For seniors and toddlers, add 1-2 minutes.

Are cleaning fees included in the rates?

Yes.

Will we be sent directions?

Yes, after we have received your balance.

How far is the grocery store?

The supermarket (IGA) is ¾ mile away.

Can we fish off shore or do we need a boat?

Almost all of the lakes and rivers have spots to fish from shore.   See fishing.

Is there air-conditioning?

No.   Fans are in all the rooms.

Is there a pool?

This is the lake district, so there are not too many pools here.   A few resort hotels may have pools.

What are check-in/check-out times?

Check-in is 3pm, out is 11AM.   We can offer early-in, late-out when available - usually September-May only.
